Smersh vs alice Care must be taken to not preclude the wearing of a pack, if longer-term use is envisioned. This all started as a desire to make an accurate mgs 3 costume but after some research I do want some sort of webbing system. I keep looking at the komandostore SMERSH but ALICE gear is much more readily available. Around the 4th iteration into the SMERSH family, with the introduction of ALICE-Like plastic magazine dividers and an improved Yoke, the SMERSH was standardized. IMHO, such rigs are most useful for short-term use in hot climates. It's very high quality and durable, doesn't reflect IR, and is very inexpensive. Reading the very long thread should prove to be most informative. I guess just trying to get some opinions from people who run either and also trying to figure out how I'd best run a pistol on it. Sep 15, 2020 · The straps of the pack are somewhat stiff, to bear the load well enough that you wont feel it too much, but then this provides an issue as well, as the straps (once tightened) crush and negate the weight-bearing effects of the Alice suspenders (I’m using the cotton duck M-56 suspenders, but I also have the “Y” suspenders as well) Can’t Jun 7, 2017 · This Thread, in this very forum, no less, has a wealth of info on ALICE (and other) LBE rigs. If you don't mind classic stuff, old PLCE is probably the most refined system if you're using AR mags.
